Pres. Eyring spoke of gratitude in our everyday lives. He asks us to ponder this question: Did I see His Hand in my Life? What a thought provoking question. Did I take the time to see how blessed my life is because of a loving Father? His love is weaved throughout our lives and throughout our days, but have we seen His hand?
One of my favorite primary songs at this time of year is "I am Glad for Many Things". I love singing that song with primary children and having them sing what they are grateful for. Children just find simple pleasures with life that is all around them. We have much to be grateful for. We have the fullness of the gospel in our lives. We have people who love us in our families and among our friends.
Elder Oaks also shares some thoughts on expressing gratitude for the big and little things in your life. Have an attitude of thanksgiving in your heart as you pray. Share simple things you are grateful for with your family.
Thankful Jar. Write down what you are thankful for on a strip of paper and then link them together and hang this on your Christmas tree. Here's another version Count your Blessings Jar
